A new Southern Hebrides Website and Blog

Sunrise over the Sound of Islay
When I started this website in 2009 the digital world looked somewhat different than today. The iPad had yet to be introduced and the use of smartphones was at the start of a success story. Now, only five years later, the way we look at websites and use mobile devices has changed dramatically. This means that this website needs to become more flexible and present itself in the best possible way on each device you use. That’s why the site has received a complete overhaul. The blog and main site are now “one” and the entire site has a more modern look and is equipped to present you with the best possible user experience. The key changes are found below:

  • A new layout suitable for all devices
  • Integrated blog into the site
  • Beautiful Image Galleries
  • 17 great Island info pages – Isle of Coll – Isle of Tiree – Ulva and Gometra – Staffa and Fingals Cave – Treshnish Isles – Isle of Mull – Isle of Iona – Isle of Lismore – Isle of Kerrera – Slate Islands – The Garvellachs – Isle of Scarba – Isle of Jura – McCormaig Isles – Isle of Colonsay – Isle of Islay – Isle of Gigha
  • And a lot more useful and interesting info

Enough said, I look forward to welcoming you on our new website and share with you this magnificent part of the world with its breathtaking views, unique islands, mysterious currents, friendly locals, stunning scenery and abundant wildlife. Welcome to The Southern Hebrides
